Hangin' out at the Fairgrounds

I have been a very bad blogger these last few days  haven't I!!  I tried to load these photos last night - to no avail, so I just gave up on it.

At any rate, we have settled in to the Fairgrounds and are really enjoying the relative quiet of the place.  Although, being a county fairgrounds there are events here often - today there is a cattle show!  I think I'll walk over, leaving Sir Arlo at home of course.

Speaking of Sir, here is one of his latest escapades - Rick was trying to tighten the bolts under the driver's seat of the coach.  Naturally he had to be laying on the floor to do this ... well Sir interprets that, of course, as play time ~ here he is "helping" Rick tighten the seat!  Great help huh!

This is a picture of a gorgeous sunset the other night at the Fairgrounds.

Today we will finally get the bikes out I guess.  There is an event happening in town called "Hot Harley Nights" this weekend.  It is a fundraising events for the Make A Wish Foundation that is sponsored by the local Harley dealer.  It is a three day event with today being the "big" day of the three.  There is a "poker run" and an auction and a few raffles.  The majority of the restaurants and businesses in the beautiful downtown area are involved as well.

I suspect we will be downtown again this evening to participate in the events.  We were down there last night and ran into a couple who we met and thoroughly enjoyed when we were out here in September ~ it was so nice to see them again and pick up where we left off.  We will be getting together again this coming week before Rick leaves.  They will be heading to NC for a couple weeks after that so who knows when we'll see them after we leave here - perhaps we can catch up when they are in back in NC again after this trip.

That's it for this brief post now - I took some great photos of the downtown statues last night that I'll get posted at some point (I hope)!
