We were cleaning our outside storage areas yesterday and had everything all over our "yard". Those of you who've seen our "campsites" know we have a "thing" for tacky lawn ornaments - the tackier the better. This parrot was among the best of 'em when it was in one piece, but it had seen better days. Arlo was, of course, afraid of it and spent an hour or so trying his best to be brave and show it just who was really the boss! After an hour or so of growling and pouncing at it I decided the neighbors had probably had enough entertainment for the day - thankfully the dumpster was close by..... I sure will miss that parrot - it was one of the originals when we started "camping" years ago!
This morning I went down to the office area of the campground (aka "rv resort" note quotes~beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder) as usual to try to get on line (we had so many trees at our site that satellite was out of the question. This "rv resort" claimed to have wifi but it was "down" more often than not. Being that I really didn't like this place much (I'm trying to be generous here) it seemed better to just give up on the internet for the day, rather than demonstrate flying laptop move. Knowing we would be "moving" in an hour or two and I most likely would be able to use our satellite in the new location. So with that calming (HUH) attitude I took the laptop back to the "house" and returned with my camera after I had noticed this sign on these ladders.
So back I came, camera in hand and just "chilled" for a few minutes (breath in, breath out slowly, deeply, calmly, sometimes better than vodka - well maybe). This Momma worked so hard for these very demanding babies....... she was back with worms (big fat juicy ones) about every three minutes.
