A campground - a real campground!

Yesterday we got to Fillmore, UT (2000 census population of 2,253).  We haven't stayed in a "real" campground in a long long time.  To me a real campground has a table and fire ring at your site.  Elks Lodges, for as much as we have enjoyed most of them, don't have tables never mind a fire ring...

So we followed the snow capped mountain above (I believe it is Delano Peak at 12, 169 feet, part of the Pahvant Range) most of the 160 miles we traveled yesterday to get to this beautiful campground (Fillmore KOA) and low and behold we get to see this beauty still!
Above is an example of how we "chillax" after a hard day on the road!!  Watch a ball game, have a cigar and watch your dog act like a nut (also knows as a knuckle head huh Aunt Mary).  Sir Arlo has (had) two soccer balls (aptly named Wilson).  Wilson has appeared in many pictures with Arlo.  There is a Wilson in the house and a Wilson in the car for impromptu romps in a park or pond along the way.  Well the Wilson in the house has been slowly getting chewed away and yesterday Sir finally got to the middle of Wilson ... He spent about an hour and a half flipping the deflated, chewed Wilson in the air just letting loose and having a ball (pun intended)
So back to the campground ~ not only do we have a table and fire ring but lots of butterflies and birds ~ Baltimore Orioles (NO not the ones that beat the Red Sox last night) and hummingbirds, lots and lots of hummingbirds.
And when he isn't destroying soccer balls Arlo gets a birds eye view of it all.
And we get to end our day with a beautiful sunset like this!  (we were too tired for a fire!)
